A 135-member Bangladesh Navy Bangladeshi team has left the country to join UN peacekeeping mission in Bananan-8 (UNIFIL) in Lebanon.
They left Bangladesh on a flight at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Monday night.They will join the Navy ships deployed in Lebanon, Ali Haider, and Nimu. On the eve of leaving Chittagong, Commander M Musa, the captain of Banoja Isa Khan, told the fishermen off Lebanon.At that time, senior members of Navy and senior Lebanese marines were present.On 22 June, the second group of 135 marine members left Chittagong for Lebanon and the Naval members of Banankan -7 (UNIFIL), located in Lebanon, are expected to return to Bangladesh on June 13 and 23 in two groups.
