Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep condolences over the deaths of hill collapses in Chittagong, Rangamati and Bandarban.
He expressed his condolences in a condolence message of Prime Minister's Press Wing on Tuesday.Four people died in Chittagong, Bandarban and Rangamati hill collapses. In the rainy season, deaths occur from Monday night till Tuesday morning. Among the dead, 14 were from Rangamati, six in Bandarban and four in Chittagong.The Rangamati correspondent of Jago News said that 14 people were killed in the mountainous collapse in Rangamati hills in the rain. The incident took place in Rangbhali, Bhedvedi, Shimultoli and Maniktali areas of Sadar upazila on Monday morning. The bodies of 11 people were kept in Rangamati Sadar Hospital.Besides, a number of casualties were reported in Rangamati Manikchari hills, including officials of the hill collapse. A team of army personnel was working to remove the damaged clay from Manikchhari road on Tuesday morning. Suddenly there were casualties when the army again fell on the members of the army.
