Bangladesh is increasing the duty-free access to six markets in the market under the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA).
Currently, 4,648 products are available in the Customs, but under the Second Amendment, Bangladesh will get the benefit of 10,677 products. In that case, more 6,29 products have increased tariffs.The Cabinet approved the ratification of Second Amendment of Asia Pacific Trade Agreement in the meeting held in the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the Parliament building on Monday.The meeting presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Cabinet Secretary (coordination and reform) NM Ziaul Alam told the Secretariat after the meeting.He said that India has three 381 countries, China 2, 372 and South Korea 2, 372, among the seven countries, would be able to provide customs duty to Bangladeshi products. Five to 100 percent duty-free access will be available, tariff discount rates are different in the product.
