Iran has sent a huge quantity of food items to Karachi with five aircraft being severed with neighboring countries.
The country is planning to send one hundred tonnes of fruits and vegetables to the country every day.Iran Air spokesman told AFP: "So far, we have reached five quarters of our total planes with fruits and food. Soon there will be another plane with the airconditioner''.It is still unclear whether these food items have been sent by Iran or it is part of a commercial transaction. Meanwhile, three ships with 350 tonnes of food will be going to Qatar soon after going to the water.Several countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia, one of Iran's main counterparts, announced last week that they would cut off all ties with Qatar.
Saudi Arabia has complained that those countries are supporting and funding Qatar's militancy. However, Qatar has denied the allegations.From Saudi Arabia, 40 percent of all food items of Qatar have been imported so far. But Saudi Arabia has closed all ground borders with Qatar since last week.Earlier, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates closed their airspace for Qatari aircraft. After the announcement of these countries, Iran has opened its airspace for Qatar Airways.
