BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government is spreading fear and panic among the people and wants to remain in power.
He said this in a statement sent to the media on Sunday. Mirza Fakhrul said, as a part of the procession of BNP leader-workers arrested.This statement was given by condemning the arrest of nationalist Tanti party central committee general secretary Abul Kalam Azad, joint general secretary Mostafa Kamal and Feni district BNP leader Ismail Hossain Sabuj.The BNP secretary general said, "With the fear of being able to remain in the power of the people by spreading panic and panic among the people, the current ruling party is continuing the grandeur of arrest, remand and torture by opposition leaders and activists throughout the country."
