Awami League Advisory Council Member and Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said that the market price of essential commodities in the holy month of Ramadan is normal.
He said, Ramadan has a lot more storage than daily necessities.
All the products including gram, boots, dates, sugar and salt have adequate stock. We tried to maintain market acceptance by meeting with businessmen, big importers, wholesalers and retailers.The minister said this while addressing the prayers at the Sadar Upazila Parishad on Friday evening and the Iftar Mahfil ceremony.Upazila Parishad chairman said. If decreased abroad, it also decreases here. Our TCB sells goods at fair prices for open trucks with a cost of 7 to 8 crores in the month of the roast.
Tofail Ahmed said that during the BNP rule the business was controlled by the syndicate. So the business was not expanding. And today our industry has increased by 30 percent, 55 percent in the service sector and 15 percent in the agricultural sector. All the sectors of the country are rich today.
