Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has demanded to ensure transparency and accountability in the formulation of new policy for the gold sector announced in the budget speech.

To take this matter seriously, relevant stakeholders will have to take effective steps to prepare and implement a time-bound policy framework.TIB executive director said, due to the lack of precise policies and the lack of adequate application of law, corruption in the gold sector, fraud and smuggler dependence, the concerned businessmen and the government are also responsible for this situation.
