Aaccreditation system is critical in protecting the construction industry and its environment in Bangladesh.He made the comment at a seminar organized on the occasion of World Accreditation Day-2017 in the Dhaka Chamber's Auditorium in Motijheel, capital city on Thursday.The seminar was organized in collaboration with Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) in the 'Accreditation: Delivery Confidence in Construction and the Built Environment' initiative.
The Minister of Science and Technology said that the demand for accreditation in the field of quality management, food products, halal food, medical and textile testing laboratories, ship breaking and construction industry is increasing. The role of the accreditation system has become very important in protecting Bangladesh's industrial sector and its environment.
