President called upon the government to ensure the transparency of public spending

On Wednesday, a delegation led by Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (CAG) Masud Ahmed presented the annual audit report to the President at Bangabhaban.After the meeting, the press secretary said. Zainal Abedin told this information. He said, President Abdul Hamid urged the audit officers to work with sincerity for immediate disposal of audited objections raised in government departments and departments.The President said, the government expenditure is increasing in the context of socio-economic development of the country. So the importance of monitoring public expenditure is increasingly increasing.During the meeting, Masud informed the President about various aspects of the audit report. He said that audit objections settlement rates have increased compared to the previous years.
