World Bank has projected that the country's gross domestic product (GDP) growth will be 6.8 percent after the current fiscal year 2016-17.
In the financial year 2017-18, 6.4 percent of the fiscal year, 6.7 percent for 2018-19 years and it will increase to 7 percent in the fiscal year 2019-20.The World Bank's recently published 'Global Economic Prospects' or 'Global Economic Prospects' report has been informed. According to the report, GDP growth has accelerated as a result of increasing safety in the agricultural sector and strengthening the services sector in spite of having concerns about safety. However, export and remittance can change this picture of GDP growth.According to the report, only India and Bhutan can achieve 6.8 percent of Bangladesh's growth in South Asia this year. The growth of other countries will be lower than that. The GDP growth of Bangladesh is more than that of South Asia and global average. In this year, overall average growth in South Asia is 5.7 percent apart from India and 2.4 percent in global economy.
