Hefajat-e-Islam Ameer Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi was admitted to a hospital's intensive care center (ICU) in critical condition.
On 6 June, he was taken to Chittagong from Dhaka by air ambulance.He is currently undergoing treatment at the ICU of Gandaria Aggar Ali Hospital in Dhaka. Hefazat-e-Islam has announced special prayers program in mosque madrasa in the country seeking the cure of Allama Shafi.Hefazat-e-Islam's organizing secretary Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi said, "For a long time, he was suffering from compulsive disorders. He was admitted to CSCR Hospital in Chittagong city due to his condition deteriorated some days ago''.From Monday night on 5 June, his body condition is severely deteriorating. So he decided to take him to Dhaka for better treatment. According to the decision, today was taken to Dhaka by air ambulance in Dhaka. He is currently undergoing treatment at Azgar Ali Hospital, said Azizul Haque.
