BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the death of former Chief Justice Latifur Rahman has created a void in the country.
He has many contributions to the judiciary. He said this in a response after the funeral prayer on Tuesday.Mirza Fakhrul said he had been working to establish justice. Under his leadership a fair election was held under the caretaker government. We wish for his soul's forgiveness.Earlier, the Chief Justice of the former Chief Justice and the Chief Adviser of the caretaker government, Latifur Rahman, was held at the Supreme Court premises at 2 pm. His body will be buried at the Banani graveyard, said late brother Shamsul Huda.It may be mentioned that Justice Latifur Rahman died in the hospital in the city on Tuesday morning. He was suffering from pneumonia and many diseases.
