Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury said in a discussion on the supplementary budget of 2016-17 fiscal year, the economy of the country is being managed positively due to the correct use of resources.
She said-''if the government continues this trend, it can be possible to make the country a middle income between 2021 and a prosperous country by 2041''.In the budget of the current fiscal year, the total allocation of Taka 3,40,605 crore has been spent on Taka 3 lakh 17 thousand 374 crore. The money has been sought in the revised budget.She said that like the government, Ziaur Rahman did not spend the ransom, and did whatever he needed. This is the characteristic of Sheikh Hasina's government.She did not say like Ziaur Rahman, 'Money is no Problem'. He spent all the money thinking. If the government wanted, then all the ministries could spend all the money. But not the Prime Minister's thoughts. The Finance Minister has reduced the unnecessary expenditure but did not want to spend what she needed.She mentioned the activities of the 27 ministries, mentioning that additional demand of 18 thousand 370 crore 22 lakh taka for 27 ministries and divisions has been made.She said, allocation of 27 ministries to the tune of Tk 11,11860 crore 24 lakhs. The total expenditure is 1,30,303 crore 46 lakhs taka. That is, the grants-in-aid amounted to 18 thousand 370 crore 22 lakhs.
The minister said, the sanction demands are all logical. Claims are enough fields to consider and these can be considered.
