The party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government is planning to hold the eleventh parliament with the exception of BNP.
He said this at a discussion meeting in the capital's Engineers Institution auditorium on Sunday.Volunteer party organized the 36th death anniversary of BNP founder late President Ziaur Rahman.Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, 'Awami League wants to hold elections, we also want. But what is that election? Excluding BNP? Will the elections be under their control? Because they know that they (Awami League) can not win if the BNP comes to the polls.The party's spokesman alleged that the BNP has been kept away from this opportunity even though the ruling Awami League has kept away from the elections.
