BNP urged the local administration to take necessary measures to mitigate the tension in Rangamati that has led to the killing of a Jubo League leader in Rangamati.
On the same day, the group has demanded the arrest of the condemners of the assassination and the arrest of the culprits in the hilly areas of the area to find the killer and this incident.BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said these demands in the press release on Sunday noon.He said that around two hundred houses of mountainous people were torched, vandalized and looted at different villages of Rangamati district of Rangamati district on the killing of local Jubo League leader Nurul Islam Noyon. The body of mysteriously killed Nurul Islam was recovered in Khagrachari district. Tension took place after the body of Nurul Islam village was taken to Langdut and attacks on hill villages occurred.
