Various types of social security programs have been gradually strengthened in the welfare of the country's destitute, neglected, distressed and backward people.
Proposals have been proposed to increase benefits and allowances in the proposed budget.In this context, the Finance Minister said, we will continue this trend in the future. We will provide identity cards to all the disabled persons using the information store that has already been created for the disabled. In addition, the existing development programs will be re-organized and new development plans will be adopted. Apart from this, we have taken the plan to build international standards of disabled sports complex in 12 acres of Khas land in Savar. Besides, we have a plan to extend the phase of payment of social security programs to the digital system in phases.In order to increase the coverage of social security and improve the living standard of the poor population, the number of adult beneficiaries increased from 31 lakh 50 thousand to 35 lakh for the year 2017-2018.
