Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said that all steps have been taken to ensure the safety of the naval route on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said this at a discussion at the discussion meeting to ensure safe passage of passengers on Tuesday afternoon.He urged to maintain law and order in the Sadarghat, traffic police along with traffic police will be provided free community road and road from Sadarghat to Bahadur Shah Park.He said that ordinary trucks and covered van ferry crossings will be closed for three days before and after the Eid-ul-Fitr.He also urged the owner and police administration to carry extra passengers in the boat and stop the extra rent and extortion.
