Reducing tobacco use will hurrying the development:President

The President said this on Wednesday in the message given on the occasion of ''World No Tobacco Day''.In keeping with the consistency with achieving sustainable development goals this year, the theme of the tobacco-free day has been stated-"The obstacles to tobacco-development''. The President urged people of Bangladesh are becoming increasingly aware of the increase in living standards.If people are made aware of the harmful aspects of tobacco, its use will be reduced rapidly.He said tobacco use is one of the main causes of all preventable diseases in the world.Due to tobacco use, every 6 seconds a person dies of cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, lung disease, and many other diseases of the lungs.He also gets sick and loses his work, which can affect his family, in society. The use of tobacco products is a threat to public health and the national economy.
