Sri Lankans are spending days due to lack of pure water

Due to floods, the drinking water crisis in various places has become a big issue.Sri Lanka has not seen the flood situation in the last 14 years. Since 2003, this year's flood is considered to be the worst. About 104 people are missing in the floods.Disaster Management Center (DMC) informed 112 people were injured due to floods and bad weather conditions. About 6 million people in the country have been missing.Thousands of homes have been affected due to flood and landslide.State television news reports said that after the worst flood situation, there has been a cold water crisis. Sri Lankan Water Supply Minister Rauf Hakim said that there was an urgent need for clean water in the flood prone areas. But 40 percent of the people are living in the absence of pure water. He also said that volunteer workers are working for the people of the flood prone areas.About 5,45,243 people have been flooded in 1 million 42 thousand 811 thousand families. The horrific flood situation in the south-western region has been created. Flood situation was created in about 14 districts.
