Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim has ordered the formation of a committee headed by State Minister for Health.
Zahid Malek to recommend diagnostic fees for private hospitals, to identify the existing problems and to recommend improvement in quality of services.He also nominated additional secretary (hospital) Habibur Rahman as member secretary of the committee and also suggested to include a representative of BMA, Swachip, BMDC, Bangladesh Private Clinics and Hospital Owners' Association. In the next one month, he ordered the committee to recommend it.In addition to identifying the innocent and illicit hospitals and clinics, he also directed the formation of a monitoring cell to launch a campaign against him.
