The Appellate Division has fixed May 14 for hearing of the review petition of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Jamaat-e-Islami convicted Jamaat leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee's death sentence for review and acquittal of the prosecution.An appeal bench of the four judges led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on Thursday gave the order.Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain argued for Delwar Hossain Sayedee in the court. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam stood for the state.On Jan 17 last year, Sayedee filed a review petition seeking acquittal from the appeal verdict.
