Bangladesh is ranked fifth in the Human Development Index (HDI) in Asia.
Overall, the index has advanced three steps Bangladesh's position in 188 countries is 139.This information was given on the occasion of the publication 'Human Development Report-2013' at the National Economic Council (NEC) conference room in city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Wednesday. This report was made based on the various data-data of 2015.Planning Commission and UNDP jointly publish this report. Presenting the report, director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Selim Jahan Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was present in the meeting.
