Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) president Golam Rahman said that the goal of the budget will be to determine the main goal of achieving higher economic growth.
He demanded a press conference on budget and consumer interest in Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Sagar-Runi auditorium on Tuesday.Golam Rahman said, "The country's largest economic group is the consumer country. Their expenditure is actually the main driving force of the economy. So we have to formulate a consumer budget in 2016-17 fiscal year. Consumers have a strong connection with product production and import-export. Therefore, the main objectives of the budget will be to protect employment, increase balance of income and reduce discrimination, poverty alleviation, stability of the goods.
