At least 24 passengers were missing after it landed in Sandwip area of Chittagong after a C-truck derailed in the Bay of Bengal.
The incident took place around 7:30 pm on Sunday.Sandwip Human Rights Commission's general secretary Moktadar Azad Khan confirmed to the risingbd board that about 35 to 40 passengers from a big truck were drowned due to bad weather while riding on a red boat (boat) while going towards Guptechara Ghat. It sinks in the boat, all the passers in the boat. About 10-12 passengers were able to rescue the locals, but at least eight passengers were missing till the report was written at 8:30 pm.
