Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said that the budget of 2017-18 will increase the Tuition Fees in government schools, colleges and universities.
He said this at the budget meeting of the fiscal year 2017-18 in the NEC conference room in city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Thursday.In the discussion meeting, the NGO officials presented various demands and suggestions about the budget. The chief executive and delegation of 37 NGOs took part in the meeting.The Finance Minister said that the salary and tuition fees of those public educational institutions, especially medical colleges and universities will be increased to between Tk 12-20 and up to four to five times in the next budget. This decision is being taken considering the cost of tuition fees and private education institutions.
