President Santos said in a speech to the nation after the referendum, he accepted the referendum results. However, he will continue to work to achieve peace. He will maintain the current peace agreement and to discuss the next steps with the leaders of the FARC, he ordered negotiators to visit Cuba. He said, "I do not want to leave the helm. I will continue efforts for peace till the validity period. Because the only way for our country's children, it is possible to leave a better country.FARC leader said his group is committed to ending the civil war.
