The salt used in the industrial sector needs more salt than the imports are sold in the
market as well as edible salt of dishonest traders. The local farmers are losing interest in the cultivation of salt. Salt used in the industry to raise the import duty on the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has recommended to the Ministry of Industry.
