6.5 magnitude earthquake off the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean has hit on Friday. However, no tsunami warning was issued.
The US Geological Survey (USGS), from 154 kilometers (96 miles) south-west and 170 kilometers west of the capital struck.

The USGS said the quake was magnitude 7.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said, "Based on the data obtained all the information no destructive tsunami is expected."
