Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the government has taken effective steps to prevent maritime accidents.

 The Prime Minister assigned to him in Parliament during question Hoisneara Lutfa  bench member Begum said in response to a question.
The Prime Minister, inland waterways shipping risk measures to uphold the BIWTA 'internal navigational Ordinance, 1976 (as amended in 2005) and the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Rules -1970' is taking the necessary steps in accordance with the provisions of the law .
