The finance minister told in parliament, 2014-15 fiscal year, a total of 246 grams of gold, 719 kg were seized.

According to the minister, seized the gold Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate of the airport as opposed 324 kg and 296 grams of cases, and 47 cases against Dhaka Custom House, 166 kg of gold seized 57 grams. In addition, a total of 41 thousands 228 kg in the case of the division were also seized 38 grams of gold. Over the past 5 years, a total of 1793 kg of seized 7 grams of gold is deposited at the Bangladesh Bank.
