Five wooden boat in the Mediterranean about 3500 migrants were rescued from the Italian coast guard said. Seven of the floating vessel is still at sea. These migrants were rescued from the Libyan coast.
Satellite phones were recovered after requesting help, the Coast Guard said. There was a boat of immigrants, of whom 475 persons were seven pregnant women.
46.500 immigrants arrived in Italy so far this year on the way to the sea. It is 12 percent more than the same period last year.
