The former editor of the English daily The indipendet Mahbub Alam, the first death anniversary on Saturday (06 June). On this day last year, he died at the age of 78 in a hospital in Dhaka.

Mahbub Alam Born in 1936 in Munshiganj. He received his MA degree from Dhaka University. Commonwealth Press Union Fellow in 1963 and received training in Journalism and Commonwealth rilesane. The journalist was a short course from the University of Oxford.
In 1957, the Associated Press of Pakistan to work through the Alam joined the journalism profession.
