The South American country's magnitude earthquake struck Chile, 5.2 percent, according to the US Geological Survey USGS.

Friday (29 May), struck at around 10am. No casualties or damage were reported initially.

Bhyalinara 49 kilometers north of the earthquake, according to the USGS.
