More than 600 MW of electricity from India, 2017 in Bangladesh by Bangladesh-India Joint Steering Committee hopes. The Committee believes, in December of this year to 100 MW , Tripura and West Bengal Berhampur in December 2017 to 500 MW will come from India.

 

The Power House on Thursday afternoon for cooperation in the power sector of Bangladesh-India Joint Steering Committee meeting was held on the 9th. The West Bahrampur  from the sub-station of 500 MW coming.
At the meeting of the Steering Committee for Bangladesh Power Secretary Monwar Islam and the Indian side was led by the country's energy secretary PK Sinha. Indian power secretary P. Sinha told reporters after the meeting, the 2017 MW of power by 1100 will come from India.

Earlier, a housing part of the power at the power sector of Bangladesh-India Joint Working Group on Cooperation meeting was held on the 9th. The meeting discussed the importance of India to import more electricity.
