Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday distributed financial assistance to eight gallantry award-recipient freedom fighters and their family members.
PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri informed the matter in a press briefing after distribution of cheques.
Family members and successors of two Bir Sreshtha -Munshi Abdur Rauf and Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman received the financial assistance from the prime minister.
Beside, six Bir Pratik recipients and their family members also get the assistance, UNB reports.
