Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on Monday demanded judicial probe over the Sunday`s attack on a student organisation`s protest progrmme.
TIB urged the authorities concerned to bring the alleged police members to the justice soon.
TIB, who committed to values of democracy, justice, rule of law, transparency, accountability, integrity and impartiality, came up with the demands in a statement on the day.
Dr Iftekharuzzaman, the Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), also slammed the law enforcement members for the attacks especially on the female students on the day.
Earlier, On Sunday, police charged baton on the students to disperse them from in front of the office of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The law enforcers on the day also used water cannons to remove the protesting students as they tried to lay siege to the DMP office demanding to arrest of the culprits who s.. harassed women in the TSC area of Dhaka University during the Pahela Baishakh celebrations.
At least 20 students including three female students were injured in the scuffle with the police.
