The second round match of Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) longer version between Walton Central Zone and Prime Bank South Zone ended in a draw as rain washed away the first session of the Day 4 on Sunday.
Walton scored 413 runs in the first innings with a century from opener Rony Talukdar (106) and two half-centuries from skipper Mosharraf Hossain (89) and Elias Sunny (58*) after they won toss and chose to bat first at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah.
In reply, Prime Bank collected 541 in the first innings with three centuries from opener Shahriar Nafees (161), Mossaddek Hossain (153) and Sohag Gazi (106) and a half century from Anamul Haque (83).
Walton, in the second innings, scored 69 runs for 4 wickets in the fourth and final day on Sunday leading the match towards a draw.
Prime Bank, who finished the Day 3 on Saturday, collected 538 runs for 8 wickets, added only 3 runs more losing the rest of the 2 wickets when play resumed after lunch of Day 4 on Sunday as rain washed away the first session.
Trailing by 128 runs, Walton went on to bat in the second innings and scored 69 runs for 4 wickets in 56 overs leading the match to a draw.
Prime Bank spinner Abdur Razzak claimed 3 wickets for 20 runs while the other wicket was taken by Mushtafizur Rahman.
Walton skipper Mosharraf Hossain, who also claimed 7 wickets for 171 runs in the first innings, was awarded Player of the Match prize.
