Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.



DSE, the Broad Index of the DSE, gained by 114.65 points or 2.78 per cent to 4236.97 after the first one-hour of trade at 12:19 pm. 

Trade deals stood at 64881 with volume of transactions at Tk 2581.39 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 274 advanced, 19 declined and 6 remained unchanged. 

UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 46.47 million changing hands till then followed by ACIFORMULA, SPCL, AGNISYSL, SAIFPOWER and BSCCL. 

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 180.49 points to 7897.83, also at 12:20am. 

Of the issues traded till then, 187 gained, 10 declined and 8 remained unchanged.
