Law enforcers on Thursday pressed charges against BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas and 37 others for their alleged involvement in cocktail explosion, vehicle torching, and killing case with Rampura Thana.
Rampura Thana Sub-Inspector Mamunur Rahsid submitted the charge sheet on Thursday afternoon. Later, the charge sheet was produced before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate SM Ashikur Rahman.
The other accused include BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeswar Chandra Roy, BNP Vice-Chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka, Joint secretary general Amanullah Aman, Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed and others.
On December 29, 2013, cocktail explosion, vehicle torching and setting fire incidents took place during BNP’s programme named March for Democracy.
Later, on December 30, Sub-Inspector Mamun filed the case with Rampura police station.
