While it was long assumed that women with big eyes were considered more beautiful than their smaller eyed counterparts, makeup experts say that a few simple tricks will help you out. Here's what you should do...
- Light eyeshadow just along the lid of your eyes will make your eyes stand out. A very light brown or pink or even a nude colour will complement your eyes well and augment the shape of your eyes.
- Instead of just paying attention to your eyes, take your eyebrows into consideration as well. Well-groomed brows make a world of difference to your face, so make sure you always keep your eyebrows neat and in shape. This will automatically get the focus on your eyes — in a good way.
- Do you have dark circles? They will make your eye appear even smaller. Apply a smattering of concealer below your eyes to hide the dark circles before you apply your eye makeup.
- Tired, puffy eyes and bags under the eyes will ruin your look. Apply some cooling thing on your eyes — an aloe vera or lavender eye pillow or even just cold tea bags work wonders.
- Opt for lighter shades under your brow bone because this will give an appearance of bigger eyes.
- Instead of just focusing on your lower lash line, apply a mid-sized stroke of your eye liner on your upper lid as well. This will instantly open your eyes, making them look a little bigger. And don't stop at the end of the lid. Continue the liner so that it goes out slightly.
- Use an eyelash curler for your lashes and be generous with your mascara.
