Newly-elected mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Sayeed Khokon attended his office for the first working day on Thursday morning day after he took oath.



Khokon arrived at the DSCC office ‘Nagar Bhaban’ in city around 10:00am, riding a horse and carriage.

On his arrival, city corporation officer and employees warmly received the new mayor with flower wreaths.

Newly elected mayors and councilors of Dhaka South, Dhaka North and Chittagong city corporations were sworn-in on Wednesday after they were elected on April 28 poll amid the boycotting of BNP-backed candidates.
