All fifteen teacher of computer science and engineering (CSE) department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) submitted their resignation protesting a syndicate decision that ordered the environmental science department to move into its building.

ment submitted their resignation letter to the Registrar’s office around 3:00pm, Abu Bakar Siddik, registrar of the university, confirmed to thereport24.com.

Ten faculty members of the Geological Science Department also prepared a letter to resign en masse over the same issue as the building also houses the department.

Faculty members of the CSE department who submitted their resignation letter are Professor Dr. Mohammad Sharif Uddin, Chairman of CSE, Dr. Muhammad Hanif Ali, Dr. Jugal Krishna Das, Dr. Akram Hossain, Dr. Md. Emdadul Islam, Md. Golam Moazzem, Dr. Mohammad Zahidur Rahman, Liton Zude Rozario, Associate Professor Abu Said, Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Dr. Israt Jahan, Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Lecturer Tahsina Hashem, Sornali Bosak, Tanjila Rahman and Sanjit Kumar Saha.
