BNP`s International Affairs Secretary Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon has said that the party Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed is still missing and it is a dreadful signal to politics.
Ripon, also the spokesperson of BNP, made the comment while talking to journalists on Saturday afternoon after visiting his family in capital`s Gulshan.
He said the missing incident of Salahuddin is a dreadful signal to the country`s politics. 53 days have passed but he is still missing which created a tension and fear in politicians.
Ripon also said, “It’s not a serious matter for law enforces to find out Salahuddin but I don’t know why they are searching him.”
Meanwhile, BNP Joint Secretary General Mohammad Shahjahan, Information and Research Affairs Secretary Habibur Rashid Habib and others accompanied with him.
The family members of Salahuddin have alleged that the plainclothes members of the law enforcement agencies nabbed him on March 10 from an Uttara residence in the city while he was performing his duties as the BNP spokesman. BNP also brought the same allegation.
BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed’s wife Hasina Ahmed has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeking her (PM) intervention to get back her husband.
