Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has expressed its deep concern and disappointment regarding the journalists` security in the country.
The TIB said that unwanted interference on media, torture on journalists by law enforcers and barring them from duties are the prime causes of its concern.
The global civil society organisation also urged the government and the concerned authorities to ensure imperial atmosphere for the journalists to discharge their duties and give the country`s media a full independence to speak.
TIB sent a statement signed by its Director (Outreach and Communication) Rezwan-ul- Alam to the media on Saturday with the anxiety marking the " World Press Freedom Day 2015".
