A 7.1-magnitude earthquake has been recorded in Papua New Guinea on Friday.
The earthquake that hits Guinea, 128 km south-south-west of Rabaul, at a depth of 61 km, the United States Geological Survey reported, immediately after the earthquake happened.
There no immediate reports of damage or loss of life.
In Nepal, life was said to be slowly edging back to normal in the nation`s capital Katmandu on Friday after last weekend`s earthquake that killed over 6,000 people in the region.
