Unknown miscreants have broken some parts of the grave decor of late President Ziaur Rahman in capital`s Chandrima Uddan.
The incident happened sometimes at last night but the news went viral early Thursday after people witnessed it.
Witnesses said at least 12 marble plates from the main altar of the grave have been pulled out but it is not known that when it happened.
Mizanur Rahman, who is deployed to look after the Mazar, said the miscreants pulled out 12 marble plates. Meanwhile, they took 4 plates and the rest were broken into pieces.
However, the media wing of BNP refused to comment in this regard when contracted with them.
