Expansion of trade with Russia to build the Joint Trade Commission of Bangladesh has responded to the call .
On Tuesday (07 April) Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury said at a meeting held at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Russian Ambassador Alexander Nikolaev request to consider the proposal at the meeting of the joint commission in Dhaka. He is theleader a five-member delegation.
The meeting discussed the export of potatoes to Russia. Bangladesh is ready to export their products to improve the quality , the delegation said.
This year, Bangladesh is ready to export one million tons of potatoes. Meanwhile, Russia has the possibility to export a ton of 20 to 25. '
The sources said a total of 19 companies have applied for the export of potatoes.
The Secretary said that to allow 4 to 5 companies.
He has already stopped the export of potatoes to Russia to India.
